Word Sharpers Week – December 7, 2015

Tree 2015Word Sharpener News: I’m busy getting ready for Christmas as most of you are. I love Christmas. One thing I try to remember as my to do list gets longer is that Jesus came to give us great joy, not great stress. Enjoy the season.

Here’s a link for a blog post I wrote about my Christmas tree:

From the Heart: Great Christmas Tree Tour

Verse of the Week: And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.  Luke 2:9-11

Quote of the Week: Finding the real joy of Christmas comes not in the hurrying and the scurrying to get more done, nor is it found in the purchasing of gifts. We find real joy when we make the Savior the focus of the season. — Thomas S. Monson
