A Tribute to Leonard Nimoy

Leonard Nimoy died one week ago today. He was more than the legendary Spock on Star Trek. He was also an actor, an artist, a poet, a photographer, a film director, and a musician. So it is only fitting for Word Sharpeners to honor him.

  • Born: March 26, 1931 in Boston, Massachusetts
  • Died: February 27, 2015
  • Married to Susan Bay since 1989
  • Children: Adam Nimoy and Julie Nimoy

Nimoy was also a devout Jew. His Vulcan greeting of “Live Long and Prosper” was actually a Jewish blessing. Here’s a video clip of him explaining it.
